You wish to take action during your lifetime by transferring part of your assets in a thoughtful, structured, and secure way, while directly witnessing the impact of your commitment..
- You want your assets to contribute to a more livable world for your children, your loved ones, and future generations.
- You are looking for a reliable, transparent, and tax-efficient framework to support projects that bring tangible improvements to society.
Philanthropic donation
A donation allows you to transfer assets immediately (cash, securities, movable or real estate) to the Foundation for Future Generations.
It opens the door to a living form of philanthropy: you can see the initiatives you support emerge, grow, and thrive, and draw energy from the active optimism generated by engaging with young changemakers.
Supporting during your lifetime means:
- acting now to prevent rather than repair;
- benefiting from a strong human and symbolic return by discovering the initiatives you support;
- experiencing the satisfaction of a gesture aligned with your values;
- benefiting from a tax-efficient framework depending on the region and the nature of the donated assets;
- contributing to a leverage effect, as donations often trigger additional funding (partners, sponsors, collaborations, etc.).
1. Define your philanthropic intent
- Provide overall support to the Foundation’s activities
- Strengthen an existing programme
- Create a tailored initiative (e.g. a named fund)
The Foundation supports you in clarifying your priorities and building an approach aligned with your story, your values, and your vision for future generations.
2. Preliminary meeting
A confidential discussion allows you to:
- review your financial and family situation;
- identify the most appropriate type of donation (manual gift, notarial donation, real estate donation);
- ensure legal security with regard to your heirs;
- understand the tax mechanisms applicable in your region;
- discover the Foundation’s work and the long-term impact you can help strengthen.
3. Making the donation
Three main forms:
-
Cash or securities transferred directly.
-
No donation tax or registration required.
Note: if the donor passes away within 5 years, the amount is reintegrated into the estate (Flanders/Wallonia). In Brussels, the period is currently 3 years and has been extended to 5 years (since 2026).
Your transformative impact
Thanks to the donations received, the Foundation can:
- immediately fund projects led by young impact-driven entrepreneurs;
- support committed interdisciplinary research (HERA grants);
- strengthen promising local citizen initiatives;
- trigger synergies between programmes and partners (leverage effect).
